Brinkley-Lane Scholars Roundtable
The Brinkley-Lane Scholars Roundtable is the student leadership organization for the Brinkley-Lane Scholars Award Program. Its purpose is to assist, promote and engage Brinkley-Lane Scholars and the BLS program, supporting the program’s needs.
Both class and at-large representatives are appointed by the Roundtable advisors and current Roundtable president from a pool of rising second, third and fourth year BLS members. The pool is created based upon a vote from the BLS general body and members serve on Roundtable for one year. Officers of Roundtable are decided on by Roundtable members’ discussion and internal vote.
Roundtable members function as the first point of contact to Brinkley-Lane Scholars’ administrators.
Responsibilities include:
- organizing community service events
- establishing social gathering traditions
- leading the Holloman Retreat
- organizing the Scholar Summit
- assisting with the coordination of Selection Sunday
- working to promote both interclass and community relationships
First years can attend Roundtable meetings throughout the upcoming year to get a feel for the operation and responsibilities of the leadership group.
