Pirate Nation Gives 2023

Support EC Scholars this Pirate Nation Gives

Impact experiences are an essential part of the EC Scholar experience. During these trips, Scholars participate in civic engagement, service and networking. EC Scholar alumna and Honors Advancement Council member Brenna Kirk shares how EC Scholars has shaped her personal and professional journey.

Wednesday, March 22nd marks ECU’s 7th Pirate Nation Gives. On this special day, we encourage Pirates from all over the world to come together in supporting ECU. Last year, we had a record-setting 1,500 individuals make donations to ECU that equated to over $8 million raised.

Out of all of the opportunities to give across campus, we ask you consider supporting the EC Scholars program, especially our high impact experiences. These are crucial for our current and future scholars.

Every gift makes an impact. For only $5, you can cover the cost of one of our official EC Scholar water bottles that every first-year student receives before setting off for Ocracoke in August.

We also encourage you to take part in some of the Pirate Nation Gives challenges taking place throughout the day, such as the first website gift, farthest away gift and more. These challenges are an excellent way to unlock extra gifts in support of the program.

Just as gifts of any size make a real impact, so does helping spread the good news about Pirate Nation Gives and the EC Scholars Program. Follow us on our social media and share the positive impacts that these trips have had on yourself or other Scholars.
