Giving

How can I make a gift?
There are many ways to support the Brinkley-Lane Scholars Program. Make a gift online now or learn about other giving options below.

Make an online gift now
Contribute to the Brinkley-Lane Scholars Program, Honors College or another program of your choice through the ECU online giving site.

Make a gift by cash or check
For your convenience, you may download a pledge form on the ECUadvancement site, then print the form and mail it with your gift.

Make a gift by payroll deduction
East Carolina employees may have gifts deducted from their paycheck by returning a monthly payroll deduction form to Office of Gift Records, Mail Stop 301.

Stock gifts
The guidelines for making gifts of stocks or securities may be downloaded from the ECU advancement site.

Planned giving and other gifts
Plan for the future through bequests, retirement plans, charitable trusts, life insurance, and personal property. For more information, please visit the ECU advancement site or contact the office of planned giving at (252) 328-9550.

Corporate and foundation support

Does my company participate in a matching gift program?
Some employers match the gifts of retirees and/or spouses. Please visit our matching gifts site to see if your company has a matching gift program.

Is my gift tax deductible?
Yes, to the full extent allowable by law. You must claim the gift as an itemized deduction on your tax return.

Will I get a receipt for tax purposes?
Yes, soon after your gift is received, you will receive a printed receipt for your gift.
